Members of the campus community are invited to attend a special plaque unveiling and dedication program honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at 4:30 p.m. on April 4, the 50thanniversary of the civil rights leader’s assassination.
The brief program will take place in the Shaffer Art Building Galleria, near the location where Dr. King spoke during a 1965 visit to the Syracuse University campus. The plaque commemorates that July 15, 1965, visit and affirms Syracuse University’s commitment to foster and support a diverse, equitable and inclusive campus community.
